DYNAMIC LOGIC LTD AND ITT FLYGT SIGN
EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
Dynamic Logic Ltd and ITT Flygt have signed
an exclusive distribution agreement, whereby Dynamic Logic Ltd will manufacture
and ITT Flygt will distribute all Dynamic Logics telemetry and monitoring
and control systems. The agreement also includes an acquisition of the
intellectual property rights over a five year period of Dynamic Logics
M&C product range.
Dynamic Logic was founded in 1970 and has
been involved in the manufacture of electronic instrumentation for more than 30
years, whilst ITT Flygt is the worlds leading manufacturer and supplier
of submersible pumps, mixers and aeration solutions.
The Dynamic Logic company consists of two
business units, Contract Electronics Manufacturing and
Telemetry Systems, the latter of which incorporates outstations and
master station software solutions for water and process applications, it is
this second part of the company that is involved in this agreement.
Dynamic Logics range of telemetry
outstations will complement Flygts products and service offering,
benefiting customers within all business sectors. The monitoring and control
telemetry systems when used in conjunction with Flygt products and after market
solutions will offer customers reduced operational costs and a range of other
benefits, such as fewer pump station routine and emergency visits, therefore
reducing transportation and manpower costs.
Commenting, Flygts Managing Director,
Gordon Bigam said, ITT Flygts vision is to be the worlds
leading supplier of pumps and monitoring and control solutions. Typically 65%
of pumping stations in a municipal network need connection to some form of
supervisory system to ensure safe wastewater handling.
With the addition of Dynamic
Logics outstations and top end systems, Flygt will now have a
comprehensive M&C business, complete with a large installed base and
locally known brand name. Dynamic Logic branded products will continue to be
sold in the UK and Ireland through the existing, highly experienced team, so
for customers it will be business as usual, but with the added benefits of
being able to buy from an even wider portfolio of complementary products and
services from one supplier.
Tony Higgins, Dynamic Logics Managing
Director added: This distribution agreement enables Dynamic Logic to
concentrate on its core competency of manufacturing and leverage the telemetry
outstation technology into worldwide markets via the ITT Flygt worldwide
distribution network. There is a massive demand for remote monitoring solutions
and the combination of Dynamic Logics manufacturing and ITT Flygts
distribution network will provide customers with world class telemetry products
and services.
Dynamic Logics telemetry sales,
marketing, service and R&D personnel will move from their offices in
Dunfermline to ITT Flygts new regional offices in Livingston joining the
existing Flygt team. The agreement becomes effective from 1st June
2004.
